TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A historic building in Wabaunsee Co. got a new lease on life and is ready to show off its refreshed beauty.

Amanda Gnadt and Morgan Holloman visited Eye on NE Kansas to invite everyone to see the Brandt House in Alma.

The building first opened in 1887 at 402 Missouri Ave. Frontier Development Group, based in Manhattan, took on the task of restoring it to its former grandeur.

Amanda and Morgan said they wanted to honor the building’s architectural and cultural legacy. They hope it continues to be a vibrant part of the community.

The Brandt House will serve as a seven-room hotel. It also will hold a restaurant, bar, and outdoor entertainment space.

People are invited to see it Friday, Feb. 14. They plan an 11 a.m. ribbon cutting, followed by an open house from noon to 1 p.m.
