Project Description: This building was designed and constructed with a dual purpose: to serve as a secure storage facility for farm equipment while also featuring a south-facing roof optimized for a future solar installation. The planned solar array will fully offset the electrical consumption of the nearby residence, promoting sustainable energy use and reducing the home’s carbon footprint. Notable features of the structure include a spacious loft area that provides additional storage capacity, the use of reclaimed snow fence materials for siding which supports eco-friendly construction practices, and the incorporation of energy-efficient windows, doors, and garage doors to maximize insulation and reduce energy loss. This project exemplifies thoughtful integration of functional farm infrastructure with forward-looking renewable energy solutions.
